Otec jej nedovolí chodiť do kostola a o modlitbe nechce ani počuť. Je majster kováč a v rodine vládne prísnou rukou. Medzi svojimi dvoma dcérami, staršou Elspeth a mladšou Eden, robí veľké rozdiely. Elspeth je mu podobná. Má obchodníckeho ducha, prešibanosť, schopnosť ovládať ľudí a ponižovať ich- hlavne Eden. Sestry sú ako prudký oheň a pokojná voda. To, že sú každá iná si všimne aj Silas Ballantyne. Prichádza do rodiny ako kováčov učeň, aby dokončil svoj zácvik. Netuší však, že majster kováč ho chce oženiť s jednou zo svojich dcér. Ktorú si Silas vyberie? Podarí sa mu odhaliť tajomstvá, ktoré rodina skrýva? Stane sa z neho nakoniec kováč? Prečítajte si tento román, ktorý osvieži vašu dušu a poteší srdce.

I´m speechless. The book is unbelievable. This story offers some great
characters. While reading, I fell
in love with the main character,
Eden. She is a hard-working
woman and
a perfect example of godliness, kind-heartedness and modesty.
I started to wonder and question myself, whether I could be like her,
handling all the problems and besides, keeping such secrets as she had... to
be, like Eden was like. Do I have the courage to live my life with such an
innocent and pure heart? Eden´s desire for the „Words of God“ helps her and rescues her in many situations...or, does it make things even more complicated?
Her ad Liege does not allow her go to the church and is
not willing to even hear about any prayer. He is a blacksmith and strictly rules the whole
family. He creates significant
differences between his two daughters, older Elspeth and younger Eden.
Elpeth is very alike him.
She has a business spirit,
trickiness, ability to manipulate
people and abase them, especially Eden. Sisters are like roaring fire and calm water.
Silas Ballantyne notices these differences. He comes into the family to finish
his blacksmith apprenticeship.
However, he is not
aware of the fact that Liege endeavors to keep him in York and to adapt to the
old tradition: the apprentice shall marry one of his master's beautiful
daughters. Whom of the two
sisters is Silas going to marry? Can he reveal all secrets of the family? Will he become a blacksmith at the
